Clothing style is an expression of your personality and individuality through the way you wear your clothes . This can be influenced by factors such as culture , social and professional status , but also by your personality and mood . It is a way of expressing yourself creatively and conveying a message , while also being an art form through which you can connect with others .

You're probably wondering: but how do I know what style I have?

We propose a 4-step exercise that will help you identify your style and imagine the direction of your wardrobe. 1. GET INSPIRED Create a Pinterest board called: “Inspiration”. You may already have one, but we recommend starting from scratch: what inspired you a few years ago may no longer be right for you now. Then add as many photos of outfits as possible that you like. You can add anything you like, but try to focus more on the outfits than on beautiful images! To simplify things, we offer you the following tips:
  1. You can get inspired from our Pinterest board. We have created inspiration boards specifically for different styles. Don't limit yourself to just one style though, most people won't just be one style, so don't hesitate to bring elements from multiple styles.
  1. Think about pieces in your wardrobe that you wear frequently or that you really like. Search Pinterest for these words (for example: striped shirt or maxi dress).
  2. Search and save outfits or clothing pieces from the website or Pinterest page of a brand you already love.
  3. Think about bloggers or influencers who have a style you like.
  4. Use “related pins.” If you find something you particularly like, go into that pin and scroll down. You’ll see similar or related photos, which may lead you to something new or unexpected.
2. IDENTIFY REPEATING THEMES Once you’ve created your board, look for recurring themes like: Style – do the images you’ve added lean towards a certain style, like boho or minimalist? Colors – are there certain color schemes or patterns that you’re drawn to, like black, bold colors, or pastels? Individual pieces – do you have multiple versions of certain items, like a turtleneck or a floral print maxi dress? Outfits – do you have certain outfits that you’re drawn to, like a T-shirt + jeans or a print dress + denim jacket? Write down any themes you see! 3. NAME YOUR STYLE The next step is to name your style or give it a short description (for example, “classic French-inspired” or “relaxed minimalist”). Did you go for lots of bright colors and stripes and collared shirts? Maybe your style could be called “preppy masculine-inspired with bright colors.” Have you selected a lot of feminine pieces, but with simple and clean lines? Try "romantic refined". Sometimes it's difficult to immediately name the themes you see, and you don't have to rush to get to a phrase. Let the words flow, writing down everything that seems relevant to you. Then try to focus on a short phrase or sentence. We come to your aid with a few words: romantic, minimalist, edgy, bohemian, classic, preppy, sporty, boho-chic, girly, eclectic, vintage, grunge, artsy, modern, rocker, sophisticated, minimalist, statement, casual, eclectic, bold, timeless. 4. PERSONAL STYLE GUIDE Now it's time to make a new board in Pinterest, this time you can call it: "New Me", this board will be more specific . Go back through the first board you made (called Inspiration ) and save images to the new New Me board if you can answer YES to the following questions : Does this represent my style ? Do I feel good in this outfit ? Would it make me feel confident ? Would I be comfortable in this outfit ? Only save things that you could actually see on yourself . This new board does n’t have to have a thousand selections . Aim for no more than 50 so that it ’s focused enough . New Me can be an ongoing resource for you and should evolve based on your style . Add new things you love and delete old ones that no longer inspire you , and if you ever feel stuck choosing the perfect outfit in the morning , you can always get inspiration from this board !
