Sustainability

The fashion industry is one of the biggest contributors to global pollution. At Ipanomi, we take responsibility for creating an alternative – a sustainable business model, based on quality, longevity and minimal environmental impact. Our approach is based on clear principles: using resources efficiently, eliminating waste and creating products that last over time, both in terms of materials and design.

Our approach

Ipanomi is a company founded by women in Romania, with a clear vision: redefining the way we consume fashion through high-quality, versatile and sustainable pieces.

We create clothes that stand the test of time , both through carefully selected materials and design. We avoid temporary trends and encourage responsible consumption , offering pieces that can be worn in various contexts – from the office to special events or everyday moments.

Instead of seasonal collections, we are implementing a model of strategically launched capsule collections , tailored to real needs: vacation wardrobes, seasonal transitions, holidays or back to the office. This model allows us to avoid overproduction and offer relevant products, without waste.

B Corp Certification

We are happy and proud to announce that, starting in 2025, Ipanomi is officially certified B Corp. Thus, we join a small group of international brands that choose to do business responsibly – less than 300 fashion brands in the world have obtained this certification.

B Corp companies are businesses that choose to measure and take their environmental and social responsibility as seriously as they take their financial results. They believe in the power of business to do good – to generate value not only economically, but also for people and the planet.

For us, this means a reconfirmation of what we have been from the beginning: a brand that does things carefully – for people, for the planet, and for the future.

roundness

One of our values is responsibility, which we take on for the entire life cycle of our clothes. Circularity is a key objective at Ipanomi, and our strategy includes:

  • A platform for reselling Ipanomi parts, offering customers the opportunity to extend their lifespan.

  • An upcycling project, through which clothes that have reached the end of their useful life are transformed into furniture or decorations.

  • A design process that considers the end of each piece's life cycle from the initial creation phase.

Materials

The choice of materials is an essential step in ensuring the quality and sustainability of our products. We select exclusively natural fibers – cotton, linen, hemp, wool, silk and viscose – due to their durability and ability to be recycled or biodegraded.

To facilitate recycling, we focus on mono-fiber fabrics , which can be processed more efficiently at the end of their life cycle. Currently:

  • Over 30% of our materials are GOTS certified , and the percentage is growing.

  • Over 70% are Oeko-Tex Standard 100 certified , guaranteeing safety and the absence of harmful substances.

  • For packaging and labels, we use FSC recycled paper , and the buttons are made of corozo, resin or shell, with a plan to transition to fully biodegradable variants.

output

We have control over the production process to ensure transparency, ethics and quality. Most of our products are made in our own workshop , under the coordination of Ms. Carmen, an expert in tailoring.

For certain items, we collaborate with two family workshops in Bucharest and Brăila, carefully chosen and periodically checked for compliance with ethical working conditions. We differentiate ourselves through:

  • Payment of decent wages , above the industry average.

  • Responsible production , making limited stocks (maximum 2 pieces per size) and offering custom-made pieces , to eliminate unnecessary surplus.

  • Adjustment and repair services , to support long-term use of clothes and encourage sustainability in consumption.
